OCULUS

Motion analysis made easy
OCULUS is Lympik's GPS motion tracker — developed for professional sport. It records motion data with a precision that conventional GPS devices cannot achieve: 10 data points per second for position and speed, and by default 200 (up to 2000) data points per second for acceleration, rotation and other IMU data. No manual evaluation, no tangle of cables. After training, OCULUS transfers all data to the Lympik web app via WiFi within seconds.

Why OCULUS?
OCULUS is developed in-house in Austria: hardware, firmware and web app come from a single source, with no compatibility issues. Combining 10 Hz GPS and a 200 Hz IMU (up to 2000 Hz) in one compact device delivers a complete picture of movement: where the athlete was, how fast, with what acceleration and what body rotation – all captured in sync. All GNSS systems in parallel (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou) ensure maximum signal stability, even in difficult terrain. Operation is deliberately simple: recording starts automatically, and a single button press is all it takes to sync. No training, no IT knowledge, no manual post-processing. OCULUS works across sports, with a suitable mount for every discipline – from the alpine slope to the rowing boat.

How does OCULUS work?
Step 1 — One-time setup: Save your WiFi network (or smartphone hotspot) once in the OCULUS configuration.
Step 2 — Attach to the athlete: Insert OCULUS into the included vest or the sport-specific mount.
Step 3 — Recording starts automatically: As soon as there is GPS reception, OCULUS starts recording GPS position, speed, acceleration and angular rate.
Step 4 — Stop recording & sync: Press the button. OCULUS automatically connects to the WiFi and uploads all data. Within seconds it is available in the Lympik web app.
Step 5 — Analyze: Filter performance by athlete and lap, compare speed curves, and evaluate map and graph side by side.

What you can analyze
OCULUS captures the entire course of movement – not just finish times or individual split times, but every point along the track. Speed and position are recorded at 10 Hz, acceleration and angular rate at 200 Hz by default (up to 2000 Hz). The result is a seamless record of your performance. In the web app, several runs of an athlete can be overlaid directly, as absolute values or as a delta view that shows at a glance exactly where time was gained or lost. Speed over distance and speed over time are available simultaneously, combined with the map view. The app calculates sector times and average speeds automatically, with no manual post-processing.

Works with

Timing Training
Cloud software for training
The Lympik web app has its own training module: easy to configure, right in the browser. Set up the course in minutes – start, finish and any number of split times. Athletes identify themselves via NFC chip, ski pass or bib number; every time is automatically assigned to the right profile. Sector analysis, rankings and the complete training history are available instantly. Results can be shared via link, WhatsApp or QR code and exported to Excel.

Motion Analysis
Cloud Software for Motion Data
It combines powerful sport-specific analytics with exceptional ease of use and enables coaches to gain detailed insights with just a few clicks. Predefined and customizable templates ensure consistent, comparable results across all training sessions and automatically process key figures such as speed, acceleration and split times. The result: professional-level performance analyses that are simple and efficient and are suitable for daily use in training.

Video Analysis
Cloud Software for Video Analysis
It combines synchronized video recordings and performance data to make technical details visible and measurable in every movement. Trainers can review scenes frame by frame, compare athletes side by side and display important key figures such as speed or split times directly into the video. The result is clearer feedback, faster corrections, and more effective, data-driven training.
More than motion analysis
OCULUS unfolds its full potential in combination with Lympik solutions for timing and video analysis. Through synchronization of precise timing data with speed, motion and video information, every run becomes analyzable in complete performance context. Together, timing, tracking and video analysis form a powerful, fully integrated system — for holistic performance analysis from the first impulse to the finest detail.
