TRAIN SMARTER
Win Faster
Sector times, shooting times, and average speeds — fully automated. The Lympik system captures all relevant performance data in biathlon training and makes it available for analysis in seconds. For coaches who want to focus on coaching — not on data collection.
The Challenges in Biathlon
In biathlon, every second counts — on the ski course and at the shooting range. Yet training data is often still collected manually: one person stands at the track, times by hand, and later transfers it to an Excel spreadsheet. Sector times are incomplete because no coach can see the entire ski course. Speed comparisons between athletes remain rough estimates.

Trainers need:
Automatic sector times
Technique detection on the ski course
Speed profiles
Direct athlete comparison
Video synchronized with performance data
The Complete Biathlon Performance Ecosystem
Automated sector times — without anyone at the track
Previously, a dedicated person was needed to manually stop sector times — and even then, track visibility was limited. With the Lympik Web-App, virtual sector points are simply set via map: shooting range, climb, flat section — any section of the ski course. Configuration can be done the evening before on PC or directly on the ski course via smartphone; once saved, track templates are immediately available for every future training session. The OCULUS sensor then records the entire movement with 10 measurement points per second — sector times are created automatically, without external sensors or light barriers.

Intelligent training analysis in seconds
After training, all data from the OCULUS sensor is uploaded via WiFi — in seconds, directly on the ski course. The analysis software automatically detects start and finish, calculates GPS-based sector times, and clearly displays all performance metrics: speed, split times, shooting times, and heart rate. In the interactive map view, tracks, splits, and training sections can be compared down to a few meters — without manual post-processing.

Compare speed precisely
With speed analysis, multiple runs can be directly compared across the entire track. The evaluation is not limited to split times but shows the speed development precisely over the entire run. Every single movement is captured, making visible where speed and time were gained or lost.

Video analysis automatically synchronized
With IRIS, video analysis is seamlessly integrated into the Lympik Motion system. All relevant performance data from OCULUS measurement and analysis software is automatically linked to the video and displayed as an overlay directly in the image. Speed, shooting times, or split times are visible at every moment – perfect for accurately assessing technique and performance. Videos are stored online in the Lympik Cloud, giving coaches and athletes access to their recordings at any time – without additional devices or complicated workflows.

How Does It Work?
1. Setup
OCULUS trackers are assigned to athletes in the Lympik Web-App. Virtual sector points and shooting range markers are set once on the map.
2. Recording
The OCULUS GPS tracker records movement, speed, and position throughout the entire training session.
3. Analysis
After training, all data is uploaded via WiFi. The Lympik Web-App processes the data automatically: sector times, shooting times, speed profiles, and technique detection are immediately available.
4. Comparison
Compare athletes, runs, and sessions directly — sector by sector, shot by shot. Overlay speed curves of multiple athletes, analyzable right on the ski course.
5. Share
Share results via link, WhatsApp, or QR code.

OCULUS
Motion Tracking Unit
OCULUS is Lympik's compact, high-precision motion sensor designed to capture every movement with exceptional accuracy. Using advanced GNSS technology and integrated motion sensors, it detects position, speed, acceleration, and more — and provides reliable data even in demanding training environments. OCULUS is small, robust and user-friendly and forms the basis for professional, data-based performance analysis in daily training.

Motion analysis
Cloud Software for Motion Data
It combines powerful sport-specific analytics with exceptional ease of use and enables coaches to gain detailed insights with just a few clicks. Predefined and customizable templates ensure consistent, comparable results across all training sessions and automatically process key figures such as speed, acceleration and split times. The result: professional-level performance analyses that are simple and efficient and are suitable for daily use in training.

IRIS
Video syncronization unit
IRIS is Lympik's professional video analysis system. It is designed to capture high-quality video footage in real time and synchronize it with performance data. In combination with movement analysis, trainers can synchronize key figures such as speed and time to each frame of the video and thus gain deeper, sport-specific insights. The result is a fully integrated video and data workflow that speeds up technical analysis in daily training, makes it clearer and more effective.

Video analysis
Cloud Software for Video Analysis
It combines synchronized video recordings and performance data to make technical details visible and measurable in every movement. Trainers can review scenes frame by frame, compare athletes side by side and display important key figures such as speed or split times directly into the video. The result is clearer feedback, faster corrections, and more effective, data-driven training.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is OCULUS suitable for?

The system was developed specifically for biathletes and their coaches, but can be used by any ambitious athlete who values precise, data-based analysis. The Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV) already relies on OCULUS.
How is the data transferred from the OCULUS tracker to my smartphone, tablet, or PC?

With a single button press, the device starts data synchronization when a WiFi network is available and can be read in the web app within seconds.
How does the system support coaches with analysis and coaching?

Coaches benefit from fully automated data analysis. Track sections are analyzed in detail, and all data is available in real time, making time-consuming manual measurements unnecessary. This allows coaches to focus entirely on the individual development of athletes.
